Jenna Ashford
Jenna is a chartered psychologist, registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has worked with some of the UK’s leading sports and business teams, including England Football and British Rowing and now works with elite athletes in a range of sports as well as senior leaders across many different sectors globally.
Jenna started her career in sport, representing England Hockey, and playing professionally in Germany and Australia. She loves to challenge herself physically as well as mentally, and has completed an Ironman triathlon, climbed Mont Blanc and trekked to Everest Base Camp. As someone who values calmness and compassion, Jenna also practices meditation and works with multiple charities to give something back to communities across the world through the teaching of psychology. She lives in Ross on Wye with her husband, daughter and 2 dogs.

Dr Sue Dyson
Sue’s key interests are improving the diagnosis of lameness and poor performance and maximising the opportunity for horses to fulfil their athletic potential at whatever level, taking a holistic approach to the horse, rider and tack combination, and improving approaches to diagnosis and management. Having qualified as a veterinarian from the University of Cambridge in 1980 Sue went onto run a clinical referral service for lameness and poor performance, attracting clients from all over the United Kingdom, Ireland and continental Europe for 37 years. From 2019 she has worked as an independent consultant, combining her horsemanship skills with her previous veterinary experience, with the aim of maximising performance potential.

Becca Hickman
Becca is a chartered psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health & Care Professionals Council (HPCP). She has collaborated with a diverse range of athletes and teams across various high-performance environments, including sports such as rugby, netball, swimming, badminton, and many others. Additionally, she has provided support to equestrian athletes at all levels, from grassroots to professional.
Throughout her life, Becca has been deeply involved in the equestrian world, having participated in events since a young age. This extensive experience has granted her a unique perspective and understanding of the sport and the challenges faced by equestrian athletes. Becca is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys engaging in various physical activities, including gym workouts and running.
Becca’s approach to working with athletes emphasises collaborative problem-solving and mental well-being. She believes in fostering a positive and supportive environment that encourages athletes to harness their mental potential rather than hinder it.

Anya Jackson
Anya graduated from the University of Winchester in 2022 with a first-class degree in physiotherapy before completing a postgraduate diploma in veterinary physiotherapy at Hartpury University. As a Category A member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT), she combines expertise in both human and animal physiotherapy, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care tailored to the needs of both horse and rider.
Before qualifying as a physiotherapist, Anya spent over four years working at DLS Showjumping and has since been based at several other high-level competition yards. This experience has given her first-hand insight into the management, training, and rehabilitation of elite performance horses, along with a deep understanding of the physical demands of equestrian sport.
Anya has gained valuable experience in the NHS and LGAP Physiotherapy in the New Forest, applying evidence-based practice to enhance musculoskeletal function, injury prevention, and rehabilitation strategies.
Anya remains actively involved in the equestrian world, continuing to ride and care for her own horses. She is passionate about taking a holistic approach to support both horses and riders in achieving their goals and maximising their potential.

Matt Wagstaff
Matt is a sports therapist and performance coach with an in-depth knowledge around injury diagnosis, rehabilitation alongside sports science and performance. Combining a BSc degree in health and exercise science, MSc in Sports therapy and 7+ years experience in clinical and sports performance settings.
Matt provides a transitional approach of research based clinical practice alongside side hands on experience to aid injury recovery, optimise health outcomes and improve performance. With experience in multiple settings from the highest level of motor sport and professional rugby to youth athletic development and non-athletic populations.
